摘要: In this study we tested the existence of a sun‐compass in North‐European (British) sandhoppers. Adult sandhoppers Talitrus saltator assume and maintain direction Y (sea‐land) axis their beach by means chronometrical sun‐compass. This is demonstrated mirror clock‐shifting experiments. Differences zonal maintenance between Mediterranean British are discussed keeping mind some different ecological factors. Zonal orientation appears more similar to that equatorial Talorchestia martensii.
