摘要: Not all women who apply qualify for a civil protective order. This study compares the type and severity of violence reported by qualified with that experienced did not qualify. Ninety seeking order against male intimate were interviewed. Findings indicated 28% applying primarily because cohabitation requirements or childbearing status. Actual threatened was measured 46-item Severity Violence Against Women Scale. A 17-item questionnaire stalking behavior. Levels preceding 3 months two groups. The symbolic threat behavior only throwing, smashing, breaking an object significantly higher qualifying women. physical abuse being pushed, shoved, pulled higher. None behaviors different.
