摘要: Abstract Background The present cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, behavior, and attitudes of academicians from dental schools in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia towards use photodynamic therapy (PDT) dentistry. Methods A self-administered questionnaire a total 289 training faculty (DTF) was distributed six during 3 months period. consisted four main sections with 17 items that dealt with: demographic data, awareness, knowledge academician regarding PDT technique, interest implementation detailed background about followed by role integration technique its theoretical curriculum clinical practice. Quantitative data were analyzed using frequency distribution. To estimate if general demographics participants affect DTF responses teaching experience multivariate statistical analyses carried out according gender, age, professional experience, academic rank selected questions. Results 238 questionnaires (response rate: 82.3 %) returned for analysis. Females responded higher than males. More 50 % respondents age years less. It is shown 63 indicates familiarization 67 70 strongly agree fact should be incorporated important acquire undergraduate. remarkable number 87 74 showed high participating lectures workshops related therefore clinically applying practice, respectively.
