摘要: Abstract In this paper we present the details, design, and approach used in Arctic Corridors Northern Voices (ACNV) research project, which focused on mapping community-identified opportunities, concerns, management recommendations for climate-change induced increases shipping traffic Canadian Arctic. The ACNV was a mixed methods study that attracted over CAD1.5 million (USD1.1 at time of submission) funding involved 14 remote Inuit communities across Canada. Through created unique community-based by incorporating youth (ages 15-45) training workshops, participatory mapping, qualitative focus group discussions, verification exercises to document perspectives Canada about Low Impact Shipping Corridors. are voluntary routes designed enhance safety prioritize navigation other support services. organization reflects three major phases work; 1) before engaging in-community activities, 2) during 3) after activities were completed. Our methodological collaboration with many different partners, including, rights holders, government agencies, academia, community associates, non-governmental organizations. aim innovative design establish baseline understanding impacts governance also improve inclusion local knowledge
