摘要: Rigid polymeric foams reinforced with natural or synthetic fibers constitute a major class of semi-structural composite materials. With the existing emphasis shifting from petroleum-based resources towards renewable resources, and sustainable engineering materials, usage vegetable oils for producing biopolymers resins through chemical syntheses is ever increasing. For rigid-foam composites, vegetable-oil-based, polyether- polyester-urethane bring about predominant fraction. The degree renewability in rigid foam composites further increased by addition fiber/filler, such as flax fiber hemp fiber, which exceptions, always cause mechanical performance over their unreinforced counter-parts. Production these dependent upon content specific type, reaction injection molding (RIM) mold casting positioned leading production methods. Many industrial sectors have been penetrated biocomposites, chiefly marine construction, but market materials transportation industry, harnesses superior performance, cost-effectiveness, biorenewability biocomposites many underbody applications.
