摘要: To increase the output power of compact low-voltage subterahertz-range vacuum electron devices (VEDs) to hundreds watts and overcome difficulties fabrication assembly, a novel radial backward wave oscillator (BWO), in which beam emits radially inward interacts with slow structures (SWSs) machined on planar plate, is presented this paper. Compared VEDs where axial or sheet adopted, dispersion curve proposed BWO independent radius azimuthal coordinate. Hence, capacity increased by using overmoded SWSs, asymmetrical modes cannot be excited.
