摘要: Abstract The effects of air-plasma treatment, film thickness, normal load and sliding speeds on the tribological properties a thin Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) coated onto tool steel substrate against Φ 4 mm silicon nitride ball was investigated. Wear tests are carried out ball-on-disk tribometer. Air-plasma treatment has enhanced adhesion polymer to which led an increased wear life (> 100,000 cycles) low coefficient friction (~ 0.14) film. A optimum thickness 16.3 ± 2 μm shows maximum resistance. effect varying loads (0.3, 1, 2 4 N) (200, 400, 600, 1000 2000 rpm) were also studied. dual-film (UHMWPE/PFPE) pre-treated surface further (> 200,000 cycles) at 4 N rotational speed 1000 rpm.
