Comparative Study on Microwave Plasma-Assisted Combustion of Premixed and Nonpremixed Methane/Air Mixtures

摘要: Employing a novel microwave plasma-assisted combustion (PAC) facility, we conducted comparative study on PAC of premixed and nonpremixed methane/air mixtures. Results showed that three different reaction zones (plasma zone, hybrid plasma-flame flame zone) exist, regardless the fuel injection patterns or nonpremixed. Different had optical emission spectra for zones, with major difference being presence absence emissions from CH C2. A U-shaped ignition curve plasma power versus equivalence ratio was observed in PAC, whereas an approximately linear increasing line PAC.
