摘要: Among biomaterials, biomedical grade zirconia is one of the most promising structural ceramics due to its large panel properties. However, it also subject specific attention and controversies among scientists, industrials or clinicians. Indeed, exhibits best mechanical properties oxide ceramics: this consequence phase transformation toughening, which increases crack propagation resistance. Unfortunately, propensity transform, can be prone aging under some conditions: has been unfortunately verified in vivo with critical consequences. These two sides are described article, on basis stability different phases. Current use orthopedics dentistry then reviewed emphasis performance long-term future trend towards tough stable based composites. Future directions given terms properties, applications processes, could further expand medical devices.
