摘要: Abstract The corrosion and passivation of tin in sodium borate (Na 2 B 4 O 7 ) solutions at pH = 8.35 were studied by potentiodynamic cyclic voltammetry techniques. effect the following factors on anodic dissolution metal are discussed: concentration ion, pH, potential scan rate, successive voltammetry, switching progressive additions halide ions. primary is attained when covered with a film Sn(OH) and/or SnO. Permanent passivity occurs SnO forms continuous layer electrode surface. reactions controlled diffusion. In all experiments, aggressive action halides decreased order Cl − > Br . SEM examination confirms occurrence pitting presence ( E pit decreases increasing concentration.
