The Statistical Analsis of the Canadian Lynx cycle. 1. Structure and Prediction.

摘要: Trapping records of the Canadian lynx show a strongly marked 10-year cycle. The logarithms numbers trapped are analysed as if they were random process autoregressive type. Such appears to fit data reasonably well. significance this for explanation and prediction cycle is discussed. results will be used in later paper consider how far meteorological phenomena influence population may responsible observed synchronization over whole Canada.
