摘要: Abstract This paper presents an experimental investigation on lightweight concrete-filled circular and elliptical hollow sections under axial compression at cross-section level. The section (EHS) was cold-formed from the hot-rolled (CHS). Experimental findings, including failure mode, load-deformation history load carrying capacity, 24 stub column tests were compared reported. Comparisons in particular between parent CHS EHS made results have indicated cold-forming process decreases both capacity ductility. Design rules based European standards also assessed assessments shown that existing can be adopted for design of while a simple superposition model used EHS.
