摘要: The function of the elongation factor EF-Tu during protein synthesis is intimately related to that tRNA. Interestingly, one encoding genes and four tRNA are cotranscribed form operon (Lee et al., 1981). During cycle, forms a ternary complex with aminoacyl-tRNA GTP interacts ribosome/ mRNA (Miller Weissbach, 1977). Recently, we discovered as result this interaction, second binding site induced on can accommodate not only but also peptidyl-tRNA nonacylated relatively high affinities (Van Noort 1982). Mutant species have been isolated in our laboratory de Klundert 1978) altered their GTPase center. Escherichia coli cells harboring these were found suppress nonsense mutations. Studies regulation tufA tufB, two genes, indicated an autogenous repressor tufB expression.
