摘要: Reported is a patient with an osteosarcoma arising in medullary infarct of the humerus. Infarct-associated sarcoma (IAS) bone rare. In collective review 50 cases reported medical literature, only 37 were fully documented. Including our patient, 26 men and 12 women, ranging age from 18 to 82 years (mean, 53.4 years) have been reported. Black patients appeared be disproportionately represented, accounting for 36% group. most patients, there was no known cause infarct, whereas remainder, common underlying condition prior dysbaric event or alcoholism. Approximately 75% had multiple infarcts. The femur involved 21 tibia 14, humerus 2, radius 1. Among 40 sarcomas these 7 (18.4%) osteosarcomas, 29 (72.5%) malignant fibrous histiocytomas. survival rate IAS poor: 5 (71%) 20 31 other (65%) died tumor. Eight are alive well, all longer than years.
