摘要: Abstract An environmental friendly building material was developed by alkali-activation of untreated kaolinitic clay using sodium hydroxide. The reaction studied differential scanning calorimetry. chemical structure the produced inorganic polymer deduced from infrared spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and electron microscopy to be tetrahydrate phase hydroxysodalite with a Na/Al ratio 4/3. Its strength stability were evaluated in terms compressive under dry saturated conditions different ratios mixing water NaOH. samples ranges between 45 50 MPa. wet after soaking show 20 25 MPa, alternating cycles drying wetting also 20–25 MPa.
