摘要: Study of genetic diversity in crop plants is essential for the selection appropriate germplasm improvement. As salinity posses a serious environmental challenge to rice production globally and especially India, it imperative that study large collections germplasms be undertaken search salt tolerant stocks. In present study, 64 indica were collected from different agro-climatic zones West Bengal, Himalayan foothills northern part down southern saline belt state keeping view soil characteristics other edaphic factors prevailing region. Salt tolerance parameters used screen set terms root-shoot length, fresh-dry weight, chlorophyll content, Na+/K+ ratio germination potential presence salt. Standard evaluation score or SES was calculated find out sensitive cultivar. Twenty-one SSR markers, some associated with Saltol QTL others being candidate gene based (cgSSR) polymorphism germplasm. A wide detected among at phenotypic as well molecular level. Of 21 15 markers found polymorphic 88 alleles. Based on biochemical results, genotypes identified tolerant, whereas 40 turned susceptible. The shows apart established lines, several landraces like Bonkanta, Morisal, Ghiosh, Patni may source donor future breeding programs.
