摘要: ABSTRACT The aim of the present work is to increase general knowledge about an economically important mussel species in Chile. Species Mytilus are southern cone South America; however, there still some controversy identification samples from this area. study herein presented attempts to: (1) corroborate phylogenetic hypothesis defined for edulis complex including taxa a worldwide distribution; (2) evaluate possible presence trossulus along Chilean coast and determine if M. hybridizes with local species; (3) provide detailed data collected help define taxonomic status America.
