摘要: Purpose – This research aims at examining the role of managing director in development dynamic capabilities SMEs.Design/methodology/approach The paper used a mixed‐methods approach and conducted case studies 13 SMEs. primary sources data were semi‐structured interviews, which supplemented by quantitative from postal survey content analysis companies' websites.Findings suggests that directors “enact” capabilities, if they believe are source competitive advantage. If do not appreciate importance can get trapped vicious circle.Research limitations/implications focuses especially on small firms, it is unlikely findings be applied to large firms.Practical implications key managerial implication threat circle neglected.Originality/value ...
