Visual analysis of immiscible displacement processes in porous media under ultrasound effect

摘要: The effect of sonic waves, in particular, ultrasonic radiation, on immiscible displacement porous media and enhanced oil recovery has been interest for more than five decades. Attempts were made to investigate the through core scale experimental or theoretical models. Visual experiments are useful scrutinize reason improved under acoustic waves different frequency but not abundant literature. In this paper, we report observations analyses as effects energy interaction fluid matrix visually two-dimensional (2D) sand pack experiments. 2D glass bead models with wettabilities saturated viscosity oils water was injected into conducted without ultrasound. Dynamic injection preferred they had both viscous capillary forces effect. patterns evaluated terms their shape, size, interface characteristics quantitatively qualitatively account increased production type wave. More compact clusters observed when present water-wet systems. oil-wet cases, produced after breakthrough ultrasound applied no formed contrast cases.
