Information-based syntax and semantics

摘要: A long-standing, near-universal, and erroneous practice of teaching syntax in a void exists, as if the communicative function language had nothing to do with syntax. And semantics has customarily been taught sequence after syntax, or else not at all. Based upon graduate courses Stanford University, this work seeks redress situation by building up syntactic semantic aspects grammatical theory an integrated way from start, under assumption that neither is linguistic interest divorced other.
