Prevalence of white coat hypertension in primary health care.

摘要: OBJECTIVE: Assess the prevalence of white coat hypertension in municipality Dumont, Sao Paulo State, and map study participants' demographics, physiologic metabolic changes. METHODS: One hundred nine (109) users Municipal Health Service were selected then divided into three groups: normotension, essential hypertension, after blood pressure was measured through oscilometry monitoring exam at outpatient unit. Variables found between groups compared based on interview, data measurements, laboratory exams. ANOVA Tukey tests used for statistical data. Results expressed as means ± standard error means. p<0.05 considered statistically significant. RESULTS: The 34.1%. Females predominant: mean age 45.3 years, increased body mass index, waist/hip ratio, plasma glucose level creatinine when to hypertensives and/or normotensives. No correlation demographic variables. CONCLUSION: differences clinical biochemical variations lead conclusion that is a condition should be investigated normotensive hypertensive individuals distinctively.
