摘要: Abstract : Unsteady thickness and flow observed on the Ross Ice Shelf are thought to result primarily from fluctuations of ice streams outlet glaciers that feed shelf at its inland boundaries. Ice-stream discharge constitute an independent means forcing unsteady ice-shelf behavior, their effect must be distinguished those oceanic atmospheric climate understand change. Ice-stream-generated a one-dimensional found propagate through environment along two characteristics hyperbolic governing equations. One characteristic permits instantaneous transmission grounding-line velocity changes all points downstream. The other represents slow Lagrangian particle paths.
