摘要: The objective of this study was to identify relationships between tie-stall design and selected cow-based injury, lameness, cleanliness measurements. All lactating dairy cows (n = 17,893) from 317 Ontario farms were evaluated once March September 2003. Stall dimensions recorded scored for neck hock lesions, broken tails, back arch, hind claw rotation, udder limb cleanliness. Neck lesions significantly associated with tie-rail height. Hock positively presence an electric trainer negatively tie-chain length. A negative association found tails height a positive As mean stall length increased, fewer had hind-claw rotation. Having more dirty chain length, the trainer. Proportion clean udders increased percentage limbs prevalence decreased. This provides insight into how may influence aspects cow welfare. Application these principles could improve design.
