摘要: The presence of organochlorine pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls in wild farmed gilthead sea bream (Sparus aurata) from the Western Mediterranean, Spain, is investigated. These pollutants were determined white red muscle liver by gas chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry. Contaminant profiles present both fish tissues include DDTs, PCBs HCB. highest concentrations contaminants found liver, an increase pollutant levels was observed autumn, before spawning. This fact explained light increased food intake when water temperatures increase. Gilthead Mediterranean populations showed significantly higher DDTs than same area. attributed low level feed supplied cultured fish. diet highlighted as important factor understanding differences tissues.
