摘要: The use of olive mill solid waste (OMSW) for energy production has mainly been promoted through combustion processes. However, the EU is promoting substitution in favor greener alternatives. Several publications have stated that obtained from anaerobic digestion (AD) a feasible waste-to-energy technology OMSW. these studies lack reliable balances can assess this statement. present research work aims to address issue by evaluating potential biomethanization OMSW comparison with current technology, based on review available scientific literature. analysis demonstrates AD generate net same range as combustion, qualifying an alternative but not clearly offering surplus production.
