摘要: The biological behavior of VEGF-B, a ligand the receptor VEGFR-1, is still enigmatic. Despite its high sequence homology to better known angiogenetic factor VEGF-A, function VEGF-B has remained elusive. Especially, role in tumor biology thus far not been defined. In present study we address question whether could play metastatic process colorectal carcinomas (CRC). Using immunohistochemistry investigated expression tissue 91 non-metastatic, lymphogenous-metastatic and haemato-genous-metastastic CRC. Independently status, was expressed endothelial as well cells. 81% CRC showed positive, partly focal, disseminated intratumoral vessels vascular fraction throughout invasive margin. Almost all positive were blood origin. Many these thick-walled with atherosclerotic changes characterizing preexistent but vasculature. Thus it appears that might be an important ensure supply for survival. 46% presented additional tumoral which significantly correlated haematogenous metastasis (p=0.006). These morphological results provide evidence probable pathobiological significance progression CRC, especially case metastasis. It signalling between preexisting functional
