摘要: Objectives. We studied the effect of smoking on cognitive decline over a 5-year period at middle age (43 to 70 years).Methods. In Doetinchem Cohort Study, 1964 men and women in Netherlands were examined for function baseline 5 years later. The association between status memory function, speed processes, flexibility, global assessed.Results. At baseline, smokers scored lower than never speed, flexibility. follow-up, among was 1.9 times greater 2.4 1.7 smokers. Among ever smokers, declines all domains larger with increasing number pack-years smoked.Conclusions. Interventions prevent or stop people from may postpone middle-aged persons.
