摘要: A general expression is derived for the fluid force on a body of simple shape moving with velocity v through inviscid in which there an unsteady non-uniform rotational field uo(x,t) two or three dimensions. It assumed that radius small compared scale over strain rate changes, though sphere it also changes ambient are relative to flow. Given these approximations shown effects change vorticity flow second order and can be neglected. However irrotational straining motion included analysis. inertial forces by many authors simply added generalization lift Auton (1987) companion paper. how this made up added-mass component. For three-dimensional bluff bodies latter generally larger (by factor sphere), calculated from coefficient. illustration, used derive formulae (i) spherical bubble steady contrast flow, (ii) rigid volumes neutral density across shear These results show (and lift) lead different motions cylinder. The useful two-phase calculations, indicating 'lumps fluid' turbulent flows.
