摘要: Using the KKR Green's function method and local spin density approximation of functional theory, we have studied ultrasmall Mn clusters on an Ag(001) substrate. Our results show that supported not only possess a large magnetic moment per atom, but also exhibit bistability, making it possible to probe quantum tunneling in mesoscopic systems. We discuss our light recent experiments clusters.
