摘要: X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and high-resolution ultraviolet studies were performed on thin Pu layers compared with the bulk surfaces prepared at various temperatures. We followed process of reconstruction α-Pu surface into a δ-Pu type. Its kinetics depends strongly temperature. The electronic structure varies markedly thickness localization 5f states can be achieved in case ultrathin deposited Mg. valence band displays for majority systems three sharp features within first eV below Fermi energy, position which is fixed. localized yield broad maximum 1.6-eV binding energy.
