摘要: This study examines gender dimensions of managerial values at the local level government. We test for alternative explanations, in particular whether organization and profession are socializing forces with similar or larger influence on values. The data this come from Phase IV National Administrative Studies Project (NASP IV). dataset includes U.S. senior government managers communities populations over 50,000. expect men women to differ even when we account professional organizational forces. Preliminary findings support hypothesis. Women not only differed equity, long-term outlook, sense community, representation, but also respect efficiency, effectiveness, expertise. discuss these their implications.
