摘要: This paper describes a novel music playback interface, called Musicream, which lets user unexpectedly come across various musical pieces similar to those liked by the user. With most previous “query-by-example” interfaces used for similarity-based searching, same query and collection will always receive list of ranked their similarity opportunities encounter unfamiliar in are limited. Musicream facilitates active, flexible, unexpected encounters with providing four functions: music-disc streaming function creates flow many musical-piece entities (discs) from (huge) collection, similaritybased sticking allows easily pick out listen flow, metaplaylist can generate playlist playlists (ordered lists pieces) while editing them high degree freedom, time-machine automatically records all activities visit retrieve past state as if using time machine. In our experiments, these functions were seamlessly achieve active creative querying browsing collections, confirming effectiveness Musicream.
