摘要: SYNOPSIS. The body surface, sucking disc and median bodies of Lamblia duodenalis have been studied on ultrathin sections in the electron microscope. is covered by a pellicle, displaying striated structure area disc. striation due to 150 A thick dense ridges which are spaced distances 200–400 A. formed internal pellicular membrane triangular cross section with very apex. They arranged concentrically run parallel surface lobes. Anteriad nuclei line space free ridges. margin sucker elevated above forming sharp crest ridged pellicle. This inner wall marginal groove delimiting from body. outer circumscribed fold tapering posterior end. ventral containing two flagella lies line. movement pushes medium through grooves thus producing vacuum area. The composed numerous tubular fibrils. differ their ultrastructure parabasal apparatus other flagellates nothing common kinetoplasts. Their functional significance awaits elucidation.
