摘要: The effect of a falling plasma glucose concentration, from one hyperglycemic to another lower, yet still hyperglycemic, level, on the release counterregulatory hormones was examined in nine diabetic subjects. fasting concentration (201 ± 22 mg/dl) lowered at rate 2.3 0.3 mg/min with an exogenous insulin infusion and maintained between 100 110 mg/dl for additional 60 min employing clamp technique. During phase rapidly or shortly thereafter while being above mg/dl, eight diabetics released growth hormone, five cortisol, six epinephrine, norepinephrine. No subject demonstrated any increase glucagon. One experienced frank hypoglycemic reaction when her had decreased 149 mg/dl. In contrast, control subjects did not demonstrate despite similar decline concentration. These results indicate that hyperglycemia have upward resetting glucostat which are provide direct support clinical observation reactions some “normal” high concentrations.
