Physical and optical properties of dysprosium ion doped strontium borate glasses

摘要: The effect of dysprosium ion (Dy3+) on the optical absorption and band gap energy strontium borate glass systems prepared by melt quenching technique have been reported. results show that broad edge doped glasses shifts back forth as a function Dy2O3 concentrations. intensities five prominent two weak transitions change accordingly with defect centres are induced presence Dy3+ ions in samples. This attributes to intra-configurational (f–f) network. In addition, decreasing trend Urbach can be related created ions. FTIR study reveals BO3, BO4 vibration groups bending B–O–B units. asymmetric stretching BO3 was apparent at higher More tetrahedral units were formed increasing dependency concentrations properties is further discussed other important physical properties.
