摘要: Subjects with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) have an increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease (AD), and their functional brain networks are presumably already altered. To test this hypothesis, we compared magnetoencephalography (MEG) eyes-closed resting-state recordings from 29 MCI patients healthy elderly subjects in the present exploratory study. Functional connectivity different frequency bands was assessed phase lag index (PLI) source space. Normalized weighted clustering coefficient (normalized Cw) path length Lw), as well network measures derived minimum spanning tree (MST; i.e. betweenness centrality (BC) node degree), were calculated. First, found altered PLI values low high alpha to controls. Thereafter, explored differences these bands. Cw Lw did not differ between groups, whereas BC degree MST differed, although survive correction for multiple testing using False Discovery Rate (FDR). As study, may conclude that: 1) increases decreases observed lower upper be interpreted a dual pattern disconnection aberrant functioning; 2) line findings, indicating efficiency patients; 3) more sensitive detect subtle than traditional graph theoretical metrics.
