摘要: Abstract The present study was designed to compare the linear and non-linear methods used check compliance of experimental data corresponding isotherm models (Langmuir, Freundlich, Redlich–Peterson) kinetics equations (pseudo-first order pseudo-second order). In this context, adsorption experiments were carried out remove an anionic dye, Remazol Brillant Yellow 3GL (RBY), from its aqueous solutions using a commercial activated carbon as sorbent. effects contact time, initial RBY concentration, temperature onto adsorbed amount investigated. dye increased with time equilibrium attained after 240 min. enhanced temperature, suggesting that process is endothermic. analyzed Langmuir, Redlich–Peterson in predict isotherm. It determined fitted Langmuir isotherms. also found follow pseudo second-order kinetic model. According data, it determination coefficients obtained method higher than those method.
