摘要: As a transmissible infectious disease, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) was successfully contained globally by instituting widespread quarantine measures. Although these measures were successful in terminating the outbreak all areas of world, adverse effects have not previously been determined systematic manner. In this hypothesis-generating study supported convenience sample drawn close temporal proximity to period quarantine, we examined psychological on persons Toronto, Canada. The 129 quarantined who responded Web-based survey exhibited high prevalence distress. Symptoms posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression observed 28.9% 31.2% respondents, respectively.
