摘要: Nature and magnitude of the variation for different agronomic traits in sugarcane under subtropical conditions Northwestern Uttar Pradesh was studied. An estimation heritability genetic advance these components environmental worked out. Fourteen genotypes three crop year experiment were analysed 15 characters variance at phenotypic genotypic levels, broad sense heritability, pooled analysis Coefficients high number canes per plot, cane yield, weight, commercial sugar 8 month stage yield harvesting. The highest values obtained juice brix %, sucrose % CCS 12 stage, month, plot. lowest observed internodes, diameter extraction stage. Genetic Advance height, plot yield. High coefficient variations, maximum gain millable canes, weight height showed emphatic role clonal selection improvement Variance indicated significant differences among varieties all characters.
