摘要: Cationic polyelectrolytes showing an upper critical solution temperature (UCST) are synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization in water at a well above the UCST. The is controlled RAFT process, with excellent pseudo-first-order kinetics. cloud point highly dependent on polyelectrolyte concentration, molecular weight, and presence of added electrolyte. Alkylation neutral polymer also conducted to obtain different hydrophobic groups, which shown increase point.
