摘要: This chapter offers a critical review of the literature primarily published since 2000 on industry-academia linkages with particular attention to conceptualizations for future investigations. It starts brief overview historical developments leading knowledge economy. Then it describes various frameworks commonly found in describe role higher education economy such as academic capitalism, triple-helix model, networks knowledge, and hybrid organizations. Then, reviews depth seven themes previous studies linkages: Benefits Industry-Academia Linkages; Mertonian versus Business Values; Academic Freedom; Basic Applied Research; Dissemination Knowledge vs Patenting; Technology Transfer Offices Intellectual Property Polices; Impact Students.
