摘要: Abstract Semi-arid floodplain vegetation is an essential component of and terrestrial ecosystems due to the wide range services provided for waterbirds, woodland birds, amphibians mammals, together with their contribution natural carbon sequestration. Since overbank flooding has been considered driving factor distribution on floodplains, sustainable water resource management requires a better understanding influence inundation distribution. We examined relationship between four flood-dependant communities associated long term metrics upper Darling River using electivity analysis generalised additive model (GAM) by generating total 10,478 individual maps high spatial resolution over period 29 years. Our results show that dominant are situated differently in relation attributes. The explained variation Red Gum than those Black box, Coolabah Lignum communities. found forests woodlands can survive longer periods drought shorter duration previously reported. provide practical information ecosystem offering means predicting changes alteration flow regime resulting from planning arrangements or climate change.
