摘要: Abstract An annotated checklist of the free-living copepods Laurentian Great Lakes is developed on basis published records. Synonymies are included for each species, relating, wherever possible, invalid names in literature with currently recognized taxonomy. Twelve species calanoids, six planktonic cyclopoids, nine benthic/ littoral and fourteen harpacticoids have been reported from Lakes. Ten calanoids four cyclopoids characteristic limnetic waters. Three two infrequently perhaps accidental occurrences. The composition copepod fauna most subregions well-known. In contrast, sampling benthic/littoral has so infrequent that their kinds, areas occurrence, relative abundances still poorly understood.
