摘要: Abstract Background . Past research has surveyed primary care physicians (PCP) about their attitudes and practices towards obese patients, yet less is known the patients receiving advice. Methods The Primary Care Weight Control Project (PCWC) enrolled 18 PCPs in a randomized clinical trial asked 255 of who were either overweight or at baseline past weight control Results At baseline, 66.4% reported that physician previously told them they overweight. Body mass index (BMI) was strong predictor being identified as obese. While 65.1% received information on health benefits loss, only 36.6% ever given specific advice, 28.2% advised to increase physical activity.
