摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes the various types of sources, detectors, resolving instruments, and optical materials used in infrared spectroscopy. The range quantum energies encompassed by region represents well below those separating lowest energy levels most atoms. atomic lines appearing this are associated with transitions between highly excited states atoms can usually be studied only emission. One method ensuring elimination undesired radiation involves use a fore prism as more or less crude spectrometer series grating instrument. It is found that collision cross sections for broadening involving lower rotational larger than higher energy. also observes general spectral features water ice have corresponding counterparts spectra liquid solid phases other compounds small molecules.
