摘要: Gender differences in employment rates later life, although still substantial, have narrowed dramatically the past four decades. The authors hypothesize that some of gender variation results from gendered demand for labor independent individuals’ characteristics. use multilevel models to investigate across local-area markets among 56- 66-year-olds. female is measured as degree which occupational structure a local market skewed toward typically occupations.
