摘要: The formation and influence of compressive membrane action in reinforced concrete slabs is discussed. An experimental program described, which two large-scale slab specimens were tested under concentrated midspan loads. One was restrained against lateral expansion at the ends, while other free to elongate. laterally specimen developed high axial forces, resulted a significant increase flexural stiffness load capacity. A nonlinear analysis procedure used model behaviour. method found adequately represent important second-order effects, thus gave reasonably accurate predictions load–deformation response ultimate load.
