摘要: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is the most common type of head tumor. It a high incidence malignant tumor associated with low survival rate limited treatment options. Accumulating conclusions indicate that Wnt signaling pathway plays vital role in pathobiological process HNSCC. The canonical Wnt/β-catenin affects variety cellular progression, enabling cells to maintain further promote immature stem-like phenotype, proliferate, prolong survival, gain invasiveness. Genomic studies tumors have shown although β-catenin not frequently mutated HNSCC, its activity inhibited by mutations upstream gene encoding β-catenin, NOTCH1, FAT1, AJUBA. Genetic defects affect components oral (OSCC) epigenetic mechanisms regulate inhibitors pathway. This paper aims summarize groundbreaking discoveries recent advances involving highlight relevance this cancer, which will help provide new insights into improving human HNSCC interfering transcriptional Wnt.
