摘要: Phytomelatonin (plant melatonin) is chemically related to the amino acid tryptophan and has many diverse properties. an interesting compound due its outstanding actions at cellular physiological level, especially protective effect in plants exposed stress situations, while vegetable origin offers opportunities because it a natural compound. We present overview of origin, action general (particularly plant species with high levels phytomelatonin), possibilities for use as nutraceutical particular attention paid beneficial effects that may have human health. The differences between synthetic melatonin phytomelatonin, according purity, are presented. Finally, current market phytomelatonin limits potentials discussed.
