摘要: The M.I.T. Introductory Physics Series is the result of a program careful study, planning, and development that began in 1960. Education Research Center at Massachusetts Institute Technology (formerly Science Teaching Center) was established to study process instruction, aids thereto, learning itself, with special reference science teaching university level. Generous support from number foundations provided means for assembling maintaining an experienced staff co-operate members Institute's Department examination, improvement, physics curriculum materials students planning careers sciences. After analysis objectives problems involved, preliminary versions textbooks were prepared, tested through classroom use other institutions, re-evaluated, rewritten, tried again. Only then final manuscripts undertaken.
